Living in Feilding, I have been limited in my opportunities to travel and become as independent as I'd like to be. Living away from home for a year will be good for my development as a young person and I hope I will come back wiser, more independent, and more aware of what's going on in the world. From the travel I have done, I have loved experiencing new cultures and I am particularly looking forward to improving my French - learning a new language is a challenge that I have always enjoyed doing. I also hope to visit many places of historical significance to satisfy my interest in European history, as well as make some new friends from around the world.
